Il continuo sviluppo da parte dell'autore ha portato questa utility ad essere veramente utile ad una utenza molto più vasta e anche non particolarmente competente. Il primo sviluppo di nLite era incentrato su un mero snellimento di Windows XP, cosa particolarmente utile per chi con il PC altri non fa che giocherellarci, ora invece oltre alla possibilità di integrare il SP come spiegato qui da Giancarlo, è anche possibile crearsi un CD con driver aggiuntivi di periferiche non ancora supportate da Windows. Questa possibilità la ritengo particolarmente utile per l'integrazione di vari controller integrati o PCI su cui vengono collegati hard disk ATA 133 o SATA. Inoltre è possibile pure integrare i nuovi hotfix rilasciati dopo il SP2 di XP o il SP4 di Win2000.
